Corestream is committed to complying with this Privacy Policy which contains important information on who we are, how we collect, use, and share your personal information, and how you may contact us regarding your personal information. This Policy describes what personal data we collect about you, how we collect it, how we use it, with whom we may share it, and what choices you have regarding our use of your personal data.

This Policy applies to Empower Benefits, Inc. dba Corestream (“Corestream”) and www.corestream.com. The Corestream website is a corporate site. By using the Corestream website, you consent to the data practices described herein.

Personal Information We Collect About You

In the course of providing its services, Corestream may collect, use, and disclose Personal Information. Personal Information is any information that can be used to identify you or that can be linked to you. You may be required to provide certain Personal Information to us when you elect to use certain products or services.

This information may be required to provide products and services to you. If you do not provide personal information, it may delay or prevent us from providing products and services to you.   

How We Collect Your Personal Information

Corestream collects Personal Information directly from you when you utilize our services, including when: (a) registering for an account; (b) signing up for offers from selected third parties; (c) when you communicate with us via phone, email or other channels; (d) submitting your credit card or other payment information when ordering and purchasing products and services.

Corestream also collects Personal Information from other sources including your employer or your employer’s third parties who may send us your Personal Information on your employer’s behalf.

How Does Corestream Use Personal Information

Corestream collects and uses your Personal Information for the specified, explicit, and legitimate reasons described in this Policy and does not process your Personal Information further in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes.

Corestream uses Personal Information to: (a) provide its services and fulfill its obligations to you and to its clients; (b) communicate with you and provide you with customer service; (c) send you information about products and services that may interest you, and (d) carry out our legal and regulatory obligations and enforce your, our, or other’s rights as we believe necessary (e.g. billing and collection, fraud prevention, comply with legal obligations, and respond to proceedings or requests from legal authorities and law enforcement or other third parties.

Sharing Information with Third Parties

Corestream may share data with trusted partners who support its business by performing ancillary services such as statistical analysis, sending you email or regular mail, providing customer support, storage, technology support, development or to arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information for anything other than to provide these services to Corestream, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

Corestream may use your Personal Information to send you updates (by email, text message, telephone, or post) about our and third-party products and services, including exclusive offers, promotions or new products or services that may be of interest to you. In such case, your personal information is not transferred to any such third-party.

Corestream has a legitimate interest in processing your personal information for promotional purposes. This means we do not usually need your consent to send you promotional communications. However, where consent is needed, we will ask for this consent separately and clearly.

Corestream does not sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties and has not sold your personal information to any third party in the preceding 12 months.

Corestream does not share your personal data with third parties for the purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising.

You have the right to opt-out of receiving promotional communications at any time by:

 

  • Using the “unsubscribe” link in emails or “STOP” feature in texts.

 

 

Keeping Your Personal Information Secure

Corestream uses appropriate technical and organization security measures to protect the Personal Information it holds on its network and systems from unauthorized access, disclosure, destruction, and alteration. Corestream has procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach.  We will notify you and any applicable regulator or other legal entity of a suspected data breach where we are legally required to do so.

Tracking User Behavior

Corestream may keep track of the websites and pages visited on the Corestream website in order to determine what Corestream services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within Corestream to customers and prospects whose behavior indicates they are interested in a particular subject.

Automatically Collected Information

Information about your computer hardware and software may be automatically collected by Corestream. This information can include your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Corestream website.

Right to Deletion

Subject to certain exceptions set forth below, promptly following receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:

  • Delete your personal information from our records; and
  • Direct any service providers to delete your personal information from their records.

Please note that we may not be able to comply with requests to delete your personal information if it is necessary to:

  • Complete the transaction for which personal information was collected, fulfill the terms of a written warranty or product recall conducted in accordance with federal law, provide a good or service requested by you, or. reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform a contract between you and Corestream;
  • Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity or prosecute those responsible for such activity;
  • Debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing or intended functionality;
  • Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise his or her right of free speech or exercise another right provided for by law;
  • Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act;
  • Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with Corestream;
  • Comply with a legal obligation; or
  • Otherwise use your personal information internally in a lawful manner compatible with the context in which you provided the information.

Please note that you will need to provide use with enough information to identify you and proof of your identity. We are not obligated to action deletion or other requests if we cannot verify that the person making the request is the person about whom we collected information or is someone authorized to act on such person’s behalf. Any Personal Information we collect from you to verify your identity in connection with your request will be used solely for the purposes of verification.

 

Children Under Thirteen

Corestream does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for their permission to use this website.

E-Mail Communications

From time to time, Corestream may contact you via email for the purpose of providing announcements, promotional offers, alerts, confirmations, surveys, and/or other general communication. In order to improve our services, we may receive a notification when you open an email from Corestream or click a link therein.

External Data Storage Sites

We may store your data on servers provided by third party hosting vendors with whom we have contracted.

Corestream reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by placing a notice on our website and/or by updating the effective date of the Privacy Policy to reflect the date of the change. Your continued use of the website and/or services after such modifications will constitute your acknowledgement of the modified Privacy Policy and your agreement to be bound by the updated Privacy Policy.
