This Privacy Policy applies to Empower Benefits, Inc. dba Corestream (“Corestream”), our website at www.corestream.com (including any sub-domain such as example.corestream.com), and our online benefits platform and discount shopping platform both of which may be accessible to you from your employer’s payroll vendor or another means (such as, for example, clicking on a link from an email we send you). By accessing, browsing, linking to, or otherwise using the Corestream website or our platform(s) or by using our services, you are agreeing to be bound by this Privacy Policy and consent to the collection, disclosure, and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Personal Information We Collect About You
In the course of providing our services, Corestream may collect, use, and disclose Personal Information. “Personal Information” is any information that can be used to identify you or that can be linked to you. You may be required to provide certain Personal Information to us when you elect to use certain products or services.

Categories of information that we may collect about you may include, but is not limited to:
· Identifiers –
name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, Internet Protocol (IP) address, email address, account name, social security number, login credentials, user IDs, employee identification numbers, and other similar identifiers.

records of products or services purchased, obtained, or considered; other purchasing or consuming histories and tendencies; and payment data (such as credit card information).

name, contact information (such as work and personal email addresses as well as work and personal phone numbers), employer, and employment history.
 
· Internet or other electronic network activity information as well as information about your system –
browsing history, search history, and information regarding your interactions with an internet website application or advertisement (see Use of Cookies section below), and like activity and information.
 
· Inferences drawn from any of the information identified above
to create a profile about you reflecting your preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes.

Why Corestream Collects Your Personal Information
Corestream collects your Personal Information in order to provide products and services to you; to operate the Corestream services and business; to operate the Corestream online benefits and discounts platforms that may be accessible to you; and for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect the Personal Information. If you do not provide Personal Information or opt-out of sharing your Personal Information with Corestream, it may delay or prevent us from providing products and services to you.

How We Collect Your Personal Information
Corestream collects Personal Information directly from you when you utilize our services, including when: (a) registering for an account; (b) signing up for offers from selected third parties; (c) communicating with us via phone, email, or other channels; (d) submitting your credit card or other payment information when ordering and purchasing products and services; and (e) participating in a survey.

Corestream also collects Personal Information from other sources including (i) your employer; (ii) your employer’s third parties who may send us your Personal Information on your employer’s behalf (such as, for example, the payroll vendor selected by your employer); and (iii) third parties whose services or products you sign up with through Corestream (such as, for example, the auto or home insurance carriers from whom you purchase an insurance policy) or about which you indicate you want more information.

How Does Corestream Use Personal Information
Corestream uses Personal Information to: (a) provide its services and fulfill its obligations to you and to its clients; (b) communicate with you and provide you with customer service; (c) send you information about products and services that may interest you; (d) carry out our legal and regulatory obligations and enforce your, our, or other’s rights as we believe necessary (e.g. billing and collection, fraud prevention, comply with legal obligations, and respond to proceedings or requests from legal authorities and law enforcement or other third parties; (e) consider your qualifications and suitability for employment when applying for a job with Corestream; and (f) to improve our services and to otherwise operate our business.

Sharing Information with Third Parties
Corestream may share Personal Information such as Identifiers with third party business organizations who support our business by performing ancillary services such as statistical analysis; sending you email or regular mail; as well as providing customer support, storage, technology support, development, or to arrange for deliveries. Corestream may also share your Personal Information with third parties who provide services that you may sign up for through our platform and other business organizations with whom we work with to provide products and services. For example, Corestream may share your Personal Information with a life, pet or another insurance carrier from whom you purchased insurance; with a product vendor from whom you purchased  electronics or another product; or from a service vendor from whom you purchased or registered with for a service such as a gym membership.

Corestream may share your Personal Information with your employer to, for example, let your employer know that you purchased a service and selected payroll deductions. There may be circumstances where Corestream may share your Personal Information without additional notice to you. These circumstances may include, (a) if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary; (b) to comply with applicable law or legal process; (c) to protect and defend the legal rights or property of Corestream or another third party; (d) to act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of individuals; (e) to enforce legal contracts or respond to requests from public and government authorities; and (f) for business transfers, including a joint venture or assignment as well as in the event that all or a part of our business is merged, reorganized, or sold, including transfers made as a part of insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings.

Links to and from Other Websites
Corestream’s website and platforms may contain links to other websites that are not owned or controlled by Corestream. In addition, you may have linked to Corestream’s website or platforms from another website not owned or controlled by Corestream. Please be aware that Corestream is not responsible for and cannot control the privacy practices of such other websites. For example, you may have accessed Corestream’s online benefits platform or discount shopping platform from your employer’s benefits hub or your employer’s payroll vendor. You may also use Corestream’s online benefits platform to access the website of insurance carriers or use our discounts platform to access websites for home goods and furnishings, computers and electronic equipment, travel discounts, and the like. Your employer and these companies have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to be mindful of when you leave Corestream’s website or platforms, and to read the privacy policies of each and every website that collects your Personal Information.

Promotional Communications
Corestream may use your Personal Information to send you updates (by email, text message, telephone, or post) about our and third-party products and services, including exclusive offers, promotions, or new products or services that may be of interest to you.

Corestream has a legitimate interest in processing your Personal Information for promotional purposes. This means we do not usually need your consent to send you promotional communications. However, where consent is needed, we will ask for this consent separately and clearly.

Except for the limited circumstances described in this paragraph, Corestream does not sell, rent, or lease your Personal Information to third parties and has not sold your Personal Information to any third party in the preceding 12 months. In the event of a business transfer, Corestream may sell your Personal Information for money, to the extent such sale is permitted by applicable law.

For example, in the event of a bankruptcy, the bankruptcy trustee may, if permitted by applicable law, treat Personal Information as an asset that can be sold. Applicable law may permit you to opt out of any such sale and we (or a trustee) may be required by applicable law to obtain your consent prior to any such sale. We will share this Privacy Policy with any successor or other buyer, but, unless otherwise required by applicable law, the successor or buyer may choose not to follow this Privacy Policy.

Corestream does not share your personal information with third parties for the purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising.

You have the right to opt-out of receiving promotional communications at any time by:
(a)  Contacting us at privacy@corestream.com, and
 
(b)  Using the “unsubscribe” link in emails or “STOP” feature in texts.

Corestream uses technical and organization security measures to protect the Personal Information we hold on our network and systems from unauthorized access, disclosure, destruction, and alteration. Corestream has procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach.

Corestream may keep track of the websites and pages visited on the Corestream website or platforms in order to determine what Corestream services are the most popular. Subject to certain exceptions set forth below, promptly following receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will, as requested by you:
• Delete your Personal Information from our records;
• Direct any service providers to delete your Personal Information from their records;
• Correct any inaccuracies to your Personal Information; and
• Disclose to you what Personal Information Corestream has collected about you.

Please note that we may not be able to comply with requests to delete your personal information if it is necessary to:
• Complete the transaction for which Personal Information was collected, fulfill the terms of a written warranty or product recall conducted in accordance with federal law, provide a good or service requested by you, or otherwise perform a contract between you and Corestream;
• Detect security incidents or protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity or prosecute those responsible for such activity;
• Debug to identify and repair errors that impair existing or intended functionality;
• Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise his or her right of free speech, or exercise another right provided for by law;
• Comply with applicable state laws, including the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act;
• Comply with a legal obligation; or
• Otherwise use your Personal Information internally in a lawful manner compatible with the context in which you provided the information or that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with Corestream.

We are not obligated to action deletion or other requests if we cannot verify that the person making the request is the person about whom we collected information or is someone authorized to act on such person’s behalf. Any Personal Information we collect from you to verify your identity in connection with your request will be used solely for the purposes of verification.

Corestream will not discriminate against any individual who exercises their rights relating to their Personal Information, however, Corestream may not be able to provide services without the use of certain Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy.
 
Children Under Thirteen
It is not intended that Corestream’s services are for use by children under the age of thirteen. Corestream does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen without parental consent. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for their permission to use this website.

E-Mail Communications
From time to time, Corestream may contact you via email for the purpose of providing announcements, promotional offers, alerts, confirmations, surveys, other general communication, and for other purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We may receive a notification when you open an email from Corestream or click a link in the email. We use this information for, among other things, to improve our services and to help us monitor for links that may be broken on our website.

We may store your data on servers provided by third party hosting vendors with whom we have contracted.

Corestream reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do so, we will update the effective date of the Privacy Policy to reflect the date of the change. Your continued use of the website, the platforms, or our services after such modifications will constitute your acknowledgement of the modified Privacy Policy and your agreement to be bound by the updated Privacy Policy.
