Neil, co-founder of leading voluntary benefits innovator Corestream in 2006, is a true leader in the benefits industry. Corestream’s award-winning, automated SaaS platform has enabled Fortune 500 employers to build more engaging relationships with their employees, becoming an integral part of protecting and enhancing employee wellness. His vision leverages cutting-edge technology and valuable benefit content to help transform the employer-employee dynamic to be less transactional and more strategic; ultimately helping organizations stay ahead of their employees’ needs in order to deliver benefits experiences that protect and enrich employees’ lives. The Corestream mission strives to build a strategic relationship with employees while bringing value to all participants in the voluntary benefits ecosystem—human resources (HR) professionals, insurance brokers, benefit vendors and most importantly, employees. Neil earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Entrepreneurship and Finance from Babson College.
As COO, Gwen Tormey owns Corestream's strategic roadmap and annual planning, and runs the Business Analytics & Data, Operational Excellence, Marketing, and Retail Discounts teams. Gwen began her career in management consulting at Bain & Company, and then moved into private equity investing at Golden Gate Capital in San Francisco. Gwen then pivoted into digital health when she founded Footstep Labs, a startup focused on physical therapy telehealth. She also previously worked at Stride Health, a benefits tech company, running Operations and Finance. She has significant experience in business and product operations, strategy, finance, and M&A. Gwen holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a BS in Management Science & Engineering, with distinction, from Stanford.
As Chief Financial Officer, Ken brings to Corestream over 30 years of experience in building and directing corporate finance organizations through complex turnarounds and high-growth environments. Prior to Corestream, Ken was the Chief Financial Officer for several private equity-backed healthcare and technology-based companies, including AccentHealth LLC. Ken is an active Certified Public Accountant and graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelors in Accounting.
As Chief Technical Officer, Kenny Zoodsma provides Corestream with indispensable strategic and technical guidance. Over his career, Kenny has helped transform technology at a variety of organizations, ranging from small startups to large multi-national organizations. Kenny brings a wealth of knowledge in the benefits management domain, having worked at senior levels within ADP. Kenny also helped build large-scale marketing analytics systems during his employment at Teradata. Kenny earned a bachelor’s in Management Information Systems from Florida State University.
Corestream’s leader in the area of commercial terms, Adam Brothers manages the structuring and negotiation of client relationships, distribution deals and other key transactions undertaken at Corestream while keeping an eye on legal and compliance issues that could impact the business. He began working in private equity and investment banking in 2000 when he participated in the sale of MessageClick, a startup he helped build. He has significant consulting experience in corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, and structured finance projects and previously worked with funds and assets managed by Himalaya Capital, UBS Capital Americas, Warburg Pincus, Agile Equity as well as some family offices. Adam holds an MBA in Finance from the NYU Stern School of Business and a BA in History from Columbia.
Neale began his career with Cigna in their National Accounts division, where he was responsible for the ongoing management of the Life, Accident and Disability programs for several large employers. Neale then joined Pacific Resources in 2008 where he acted in a consulting capacity for multiple national employers on their Life, Accident, Disability, Leave Management and Voluntary Benefit plans. Over the next decade Neale took on additional responsibilities involving operations and strategy under the title of Vice President. As SVP of Customer Success at Corestream, Neale manages the Implementation, Account Management and Customer Care areas, where he strives to integrate the workflows of these three departments to ensure a positive end-to-end customer experience.
As SVP of Business Development and Partnerships, Sharon Broadway leads Corestream's growth and channel development strategies and is responsible for building alliances with industry-leading providers. Prior to joining Corestream, Sharon spent more than 20 years in employee benefits technology and administration, where she developed global service platforms and led the strategies for growth and expansion across North America and Europe. Sharon holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Florida.
As VP of Marketing, Missy brings over 20 years of experience in applying strategic vision, voice of customer learnings, and marketing technology solutions to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive business growth. She is known for executing solid strategies and creating engaging campaigns and brand experiences that deliver significant ROI. Prior to Corestream, she led Marketing teams in a wide variety of industries including CPG, Education and Financial Services with nearly 10 years at Aflac. Missy holds an MBA from Carlson School of Management and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of MN.
Candy has been a member of the Corestream Executive Team for 10 years and has over 20 years of senior management experience in voluntary benefits, human resource management, customer service and client retention within several diverse markets. Prior to joining Corestream, Candy was the managing partner of MCFS and National Billing Inc. focusing on benefits and claims management, estate settlements and client representation for seniors and their families.
Steve Hodownes is currently a Senior Operating Advisor at LLR Partners and has extensive experience leading high-growth companies, executing on innovative sales and marketing best practices, and building world-class management teams. Most recently, Steve served as CEO of Orbis Education, a healthcare education services provider helping academic institutions and healthcare systems deliver high-quality, clinically intensive nursing, occupational therapy, and other programs and alleviate workforce shortages. Orbis was acquired by Grand Canyon Education in 2018. Steve joined Orbis from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), where he was CEO of the College of Online & Continuing Education. Under his direction, SNHU became one of the largest and fastest-growing colleges in the United States, with more than 1,200 employees, 3,000 adjunct faculty, and 70,000 students. Prior to Steve’s tenure at SNHU, he was President of Embanet, a provider of online program management services acquired by Pearson in 2012. His expertise extends to the broader business services sector as well, where he held roles such as CEO of Concentrix Corporation, a direct marketing firm, and President of Consulting at Harris Interactive.
With more than 20 years of private equity and investment banking experience, Scott Perricelli leads LLR Partners’ investments in the Healthcare and Education industries. Prior to joining LLR, Scott was a principal at Draper Triangle Ventures, an investor in high-technology start-up companies in Ohio and Pennsylvania. He previously served as an associate at Advanta Partners. Earlier in his career, Scott worked in investment banking at William Blair & Co. and JP Morgan and Company. Scott earned a BS from Bucknell University and his MBA from Northwestern University. In addition to Corestream, Scott's current investments include benefitexpress, Eye Health America, Kemberton, Physicians Immediate Care, and Schweiger Dermatology Group. His previous board experience includes a broad spectrum of growth companies in the healthcare and education sectors. Scott also serves on The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation Board of Overseers and the Bucknell University Board of Trustees.
With more than 15 years of private equity and investment banking experience, Sasank Aleti leads LLR Partners’ investments in the Healthcare, Benefits and HR Technology sectors. LLR Partners is a lower middle market private equity firm that invests in technology and healthcare businesses and has raised over $5 billion across six funds. In addition to Corestream, Sasank serves as a Board Director at benefitexpress, CareATC, and Eye Health America. His previous board experience includes a broad spectrum of growth companies in the healthcare and HR technology sectors. Prior to joining LLR, Sasank worked in investment banking at UBS. Sasank earned a BS from New York University and an MBA from Harvard University.
Nick Gidwani is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and advisor to early and mid-stage startups. He has been a founder or executive of multiple B2B and B2C companies over the last 10 years in roles focused on product development, go-to-market, strategy, and business development, with specific expertise in HR technology, fintech, healthcare, and SaaS (software as a service). Nick began his career at Bain Capital as an investor and is an alumnus of MIT & Harvard Business School.
Zach Malone has been operating at the intersection of technology and benefits for over a decade. Before Corestream, Zach built RiteHealth, a voluntary benefits service provider that supplied discounted health plans utilizing PPO networks. Zach also has significant financial experience—he previously worked as an investment banking analyst in New York. Zach is an alumnus of Southern Methodist University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s in Economics.
